Registered Accessibility Specialist:

Registered Accessibility Specialist – TEXAS ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS (TAS) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) plan reviews and Inspections
jeffMy name is Jeff Gutknecht and I have attached my company information and would like the opportunity to work with you on future jobs anywhere in Texas. I have 22 years of construction experience as a sub- contractor and a general contractor before I became a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) so I know how you as Architects and your end contractor want to be treated and talked to. I follow through with all jobs, from start to finish, from review to the final inspection. I try to do a better job than most RAS’s by contacting the GC’s that are on the jobs and letting them know how I fit into the building project and that they can call me with any clarifications concerning inspection questions or tolerances. If I put a little extra work and communication into each job I should have an inspection approved the first time through. I think you will like my review method which is not the typical check the box referencing a TAS Standard and then let you try to decipher what change the RAS wanted you to make on the plans. I put all items into a written format with reference to page numbers and then I say exactly what change needs to be made. I will always advise you to do things in the best way to comply with all Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS).

I am a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
