Registered Accessibility Specialist:
Registered Accessibility Specialist – TEXAS ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS (TAS) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) plan reviews and Inspections
My name is Jeff Gutknecht and I have attached my company information and would like the opportunity to work with you on future jobs anywhere in Texas. I have 22 years of construction experience as a sub- contractor and a general contractor before I became a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) so I know how you as Architects and your end contractor want to be treated and talked to. I follow through with all jobs, from start to finish, from review to the final inspection. I try to do a better job than most RAS’s by contacting the GC’s that are on the jobs and letting them know how I fit into the building project and that they can call me with any clarifications concerning inspection questions or tolerances. If I put a little extra work and communication into each job I should have an inspection approved the first time through. I think you will like my review method which is not the typical check the box referencing a TAS Standard and then let you try to decipher what change the RAS wanted you to make on the plans. I put all items into a written format with reference to page numbers and then I say exactly what change needs to be made. I will always advise you to do things in the best way to comply with all Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS).
I am a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
Thanks to Desi, this office wouldn’t run smoothly without her.
What are my goals in life, work hard , find more time to travel, fish, ride horses, love my family and enjoy life.
— Thanks Jeff Gutknecht
